Since 1887 the family has owned vineyards at the very heart of the Soave Classico area. Suavia’s modern and efficient winery was designed to produce only white wines using the best technology available in order to obtain the very best from the region’s native grapes, namely Gargenaga and Trebbiano.
The wine is straw yellow with considerable intensity and brilliant highlights. Textually it is creamy and elegant further characterised by freshness and aromas of citrus, herbs, and mineral. On the palate the wine is well-balanced and refreshing with a dry and persistent finish.
The Monte Carbonare expresses its volcanic soil terroir through piercing minerality which develops with time in the glass.
This is a serious Soave that has much to offer. Suavia’s 12ha hillside vineyard, at the highest point in the Classico zone, is planted with Garganega and Trebbiano. Fresh almond and crisp apple flavours show great complexity and depth all the way to the finish. Decanter Magazine
