Atlas is a truly boutique producer, sourcing small batches of premium fruit and creating wine from sites in the Clare and Barossa Valleys. The nose shows red currants, ripe plums, mulberries and hints of aniseed and earthy spice aromas. The palate possesses lovely medium body with plenty of fruit flavours of satsuma plum and black cherry plus hints of cedar and tobacco. Fine structural tannin adds power without being overbearing, whilst the soft acid adds complexity. The Spaniard is a delicious blend of Tempranillo and Grenache. Great value and a producer to watch.
